William McKinley was the 25th leader of the US, serving from 1897 until his death in 1901. As a government official he drove a realignment that made his Conservative Faction generally prevailing in the modern states and cross country until the 1930s. He directed triumph in the Spanish-American Conflict of 1898; oversaw Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Philippines and Cuba; reestablished success after a profound wretchedness; dismissed the inflationary money related strategy of free silver, keeping the country on the best quality level; and raised defensive duties to support American industry and keep compensation high.
